Low quality paint dissolves literally onto your fingers I had a different brand of these that held up well. The paint scratched a bit over time but was otherwise fine. I needed a couple more containers so I ordered these. Within a handful of uses the red paint on the outside was melting off onto our hands. Probably being dissolved by the little bit of oil from the popcorn. It leaves the containers sticky with melted paint and looks terrible. Durable/Great company values Update:The company reached out to me about my disapproving review of the popcorn containers and apologized. They informed me that they must have sent out a bad batch by mistake. They asked if they could send a replacement set. After receiving the replacement set, I washed the set to test the paint on the containers. It did not smudge and looks great.
